Narchnic Pack
From NarcWiki
- Download Latest (version 1.2.5.5 from 2012-05-07)
- Mirror (thanks to FunnyMan and http://lost-dimension-games.org/)
- Bleeding edge (straight from revision control; usually the same as the latest, though sometimes it can jump ahead before the official "release" is ready)
- Other Downloads (use the "snapshot" function on any commit)
The pack is named after me and the Technic Pack, but is completely independently selected and maintained.
The pack currently requires Minecraft 1.2.5. If this is not the latest version of Minecraft, you can probably use MCNostalgia to revert to it.

Missing in action
Need to find:
- Some kind of line-of-sight redstone remote -- that thing was a neat and suitably simple idea.
- Shelves, but not "the" Shelf mod, which doesn't play nice with items from outside vanilla MC (need Forge compatibility).
Dropped with motivation
These mods aren't included anymore, but will be considered again if they get better:
- Zeppelin (last seen: v0.17)
- We (not so) fondly remember this as "that crashing mod". If anyone dares to try it again and tells me it's gotten better, I'll consider it.
- Endermen Don't Pick Up Blocks
- Single-player commands actually has a command to turn off Endermen's ability to pick up blocks. Do /help enderman to find out how.
- MAtmos
- This one's nice, but not really that useful, and it's large (because, sounds). So fuhgettaboutit.
- Inventory Tweaks
- ConvenientInventory is better.
- Treecapitator
- Is no longer required, as there is an alternative option. Use the Axe of the Stream from Thaumcraft instead. Yes, it slows things down at first, but it gives you a reason to pursue the Thaumcraft tech tree.
- Modular Forcefields (last seen: beta 6pre3_1)
- Included configuration for (much) more expensive forcefields: 0.1 EU/t to maintain, 100 EU to create (per block) (in MFFS config terms: 20 FP block cost, 50 create modifier, 10 zapper modifier)
- Forcefields are nice, but the author doesn't seem to be maintaining it anymore. Or paying attention.
- Rocket Science (last seen: v0.84b)
- Just until it drops the class override for IC2's EnergyNet (or makes it automatic -- see Funnyman's seed bag class replacement).
- BC-IC2 Crossover (last seen: IB v0.07)
- (BC/IC2) Transformers
- I'm just going to drop these crossover mods altogether. Do not like buggy or lossless conversion.
To Mod Authors
So, you've stumbled upon my little corner of the Internet -- welcome, and please don't be mad.
There are maybe ten friends of mine who are the only people to use this pack, and believe me, none of us have been talking about it in random places on the Internet. I'd be surprised if you ever get any support requests from users of this pack (those who know where it is should also know to come to me with issues). Also, consider that while this is a subversion of your control, if your standard policy is to disallow mod packs, it's akin to a small group of people at a LAN party sending each other the contents of their .minecraft. In other words, not something that you should be wasting time and energy on.
On the other hand, if you really, really can't stand the thought of me and a few friends having an easy installer for your mod alongside others, my contact page is always open and I will comply with your requests. But I urge you to consider allowing me to keep your mod in my pack.
I understand it's not very nice of me force you to act to remove your mod instead of coming to you in the first place, but for now I am willing to consider my mod pack private: I doubt people can find it if they don't already know it's here. Obviously, if you're reading this, you've disproven that, so please let me know how you found it and I will take it down and start asking for permissions. It needn't take more than five minutes of your time, I promise.
